Anonymous: How do you know Tom Riddle was descended from Cadmus?

EDIT: K I actually feel like giving a full answer to this.

Cadmus is the 2nd Peverell brother, the owner of the Resurrection Stone…which was fitted into a ring after his death and passed down from generation to generation of his descendants, eventually coming into the possession of Morfin Gaunt (Tom Riddle Jr’s uncle), from whom it was stolen and turned it into a Horcrux, by no other than the heir of Slytherin himself.

He’s actually the heir of the houses of Slytherin and Peverell, but whatever.

Interesting tidbit: Harry was rumoured to be the heir of the houses of Gryffindor and Peverell. But, you know. He’s not. I don’t know what the point of this little tangent is.

I wish I could become a Harry Potter historian, honestly I do.
